When one spawns in Zone 8 they will wake up in a bed in a small fairytale house in a fairie woodland. If multiple people go through the Zone 7 portal close together, all will appear in the same house. When one ventures outside of the house they will find an incredibly beautiful fantasy-like forest. Sparkling trees, beautiful rivers and exotic flowers. A cobblestone path leads from your spawn house through a mile of beautiful woodland scenery to a beautiful riverside village with lots of cottages, community buildings, and a large water mill. Interestingly you will see many entities, but they all seem completely friendly. The Hellcats will nuzzle your legs, The Screamers will shake your hand chuckling, and Court Wizards will cast spells to give you flowers and cool knickknacks. Many of the residents here are adorably small gnomes that give you compliments and ask how you do, Food of many types is widely available and free to take. There are also many fountains throughout town next to paths and gushing streams full of fresh Crystal Water.

It's genuinely quite nice exploring around the village with its various surrounding woodland houses, beautiful scenery, and friendly entities. The local gnome baker will bake you pastries and reminisce over the various travels they've gone on through the jungle and locals may even hold a ceremony to greet you into this lovely town they call home, calling you neighbor and introducing themselves. Everything is just lovely here. But unfortunately... that doesn't last for long, This zone has a cycle of day and night, with day lasting 48 hours and night lasting 24 hours. When the sun begins to set one needs to return home and heavily defend the spawn area. While the sun sets, the demeanor of the local friendly entities slowly begins to change. Over the course of about 2 hours or so, they will begin to become increasingly unfriendly and irritable. They begin to argue with each other and act more aggressively, ocassionally even hitting each other. By the time the sun sets and twilight creeps in, entities all over the town and woodlands will be sharpening weapons and lighting massive torches. They are furious now, filled with a deep bloodlust completely incomparable to their earlier state of calm and friendliness. It is recommended one have their defensive position barricaded, with plenty of ammo, defenders, and perimeter traps (It is also worth noting that a fair amount of weaponry and ammo can be found around the various buildings here). While these entities ARE in a bit of a free-for-all and trying to kill each other, rape, pillage, and burn, many are especially interested in killing human travelers. One must stay awake and aware the full 24 hours if they hope to survive this fairytale hellscape. This is a very dangerous place to spend the night.
There are also environmental hazards to watch out for. If one gets very lost in the woodlands far from any path a sense of calmness and euphoria often overwhelms the explorer. This is an enchanted sense of mania, to keep the victim laughing loudly and dancing that can last a long time, at least as long for thenight cycle to come around again. It makes for easy prey, and the magic emanating throughout the woods wants you to be loud and giddy for an obvious nighttime target. There is only one known case of someone breaking this trance by themselves and it was a Church of Hope meditation master that willfully broke free. If you dont have a fellow traveler to save you or administer Anti-Mana Antidotes you are very likely to die in the next night cycle. Stay close to footpaths, and never wander alone in Zone 8.
Entities - Hellcats, Screamers, Gnomes, Toadstools, Court Wizards, Vortex Eels, Hunters, Sludges, Ghosts, and Muckers.
Entrances - Zone 8 can be reached by following a spiral staircase in Zone 7 and glitching through a staticky marble wall.
Exits - If one befriends local gnome Lula The Sorceress during the day cycle then she will run to your aid during the night cycle. If one protects her well and she survives the night cycle, she will offer to cast a dimension-crossing spell up to Zone 9.
- If one survives a night cycle and waits at least 40 hours one can speak to local gnome Bongo The Wise who will soothe you to sleep with a long dull story. After awakening one will wake up in Zone 9.
- By closing one's eyes and whispering "I'm not ready for this purge, return me to the hallowed white halls. Return me and I swear I will prepare for another time. I will bring honor." to fade back through the glitched wall in Zone 7. One can use this ONCE as an emergency measure. To gain the ability to use this exit again, one MUST reach Zone 9 after surviving the Zone 8 night cycle. So basically, one freebie to go back then you need to survive a night cycle and reach Zone 9 to permanently gain the Zone 8 to Zone 7 ability back.
