Zone 9 "Wheels & Tunnels"
🌎 I - Low
☠️ II - Medium ⏱ X - No 🏰 No bases 📻 iNet - Yes |
This is a truly bizarre zone. After being transported here, one will find themselves buried in a pile of soft hay or shaved paper bedding. In a few moments one will realize they are in a far too small hamster cage... except either they are the size of a hamster now or the cage is built to human sizes. There are a couple of somewhat dirty water bowls and a colorful running wheel, as well as hamster poops, hay pellets, and seeds spread throughout the messy cage. There also appear to be a couple entrances to very colorful plastic tunnels that seem to extend far beyond into seemingly other cages.

When one squints in the distance there seems to be nothing but endless old cages connected by a complex colorful network of tunnels. There appears to be a stained tiled ceiling like some sort of simple low-quality office building, but the distance is so very distant any walls are completely invisible, just endless cages and rainbow tunnels instead of any sort of horizon or end. Eventually it is likely one will get hungry and thirsty here so it is recommended to eat the pellets and drink the water even if it is slightly dirty (better than dying of thirst). When one feels strong enough it may be a good idea to explore a bit. Entering the tunnels which seem to be about 3x3' in diameter and ridged for traction is where a traveler will need to venture to explore around. There are no other exits or doors to the cages besides these tunnels. This is when one needs to be very vigilant. In this zone, hamsters wander all throughout these tunnel networks and cages, and proportionally they are a bit larger than a human traveler (generally between 5' and 7' feet long and almost as wide as the tunnels themselves). They are also very speedy so it is wise to listen very carefully to if the tunnel is at all vibrating from movement. If one encounters a Hamster in a cage or tunnel and one's life feels threatened, making very loud noises and appearing intimidatingly large will generally scare them away. If not however, be certain you are armed. They can move very quickly and attack in a split second before one even has time to react.
Entities - This zone only has Hamsters, but quite a lot of them.
Entrances
- One can enter Zone 9 via a couple different incantations cast by local gnomes in Zone 8.
Exits
- When one starts to become very accustomed to life in these cages/tunnels and adopts some hamster-like traits to the point where one actually feels comfortable living in this strange zone, one can meditate very deeply with the intention of leaving, reminding onesself of all the memories they made in Zone 9, all the Hamsters they've encountered, and all the things they've learned, one will fade out of Zone 9 and into Zone 10. Friendly Hamsters will also go along with you if you have formed a strong bond with them.
