Entity 8 "Big Barakus"

~12' tall, Potentially hostile, ☠️ II - Medium Big Barakus is a very large entity found only in Zone 2, generally blocking the door to Zone 3. They weigh around 1000 pounds and thus are virtually impossible to move. When one speaks to Big Barakus they are very warm and friendly, will ask you about your travels and where you're from, etc. Some wanderers have even formed friemdships with Big Barakus. The only way to access Zone 3 from a lower level though is through this bottleneck of an entrance so moving Big Barakus is a must. |
Some have tried forcibly moving Barakus, but if it hurts or annoys Barakus they will become hostile and angry, which is not ideal when you are right next to them. Some try to threaten, bribe, or persuade Barakus to move, but there is no documentation of this succeeding. One could also try killing Barakus as quickly as possible, but while Barakus is slow and clumsy, they have very thick armored skin impervious to modt weaponry. What seems to be the most effective method of moving Barakus (and the one that Pegasus Underground usually uses) is to play an extremely annoying loud noise at the far end of the large chamber, Barakus will become visibly annoyed and continously ask for the noise to be turned off. They'll then likely get very sad and start crying for awhile, with their final mood being rage. They'll stand up and roar, running full-speed at the noise-making device and punching it as hard as they can. This is when the party needs to be ready and slam the doorknockers and move through the doors as soon as possible.
