Zone 4 "YMCA" is a gargantuan-sized YMCA fitness center with 12 swimming pools, 22 tracks, and 40 basketball courts. There is lots of natural lighting and bright lights giving off a clean positive feeling. There is plenty of exercise equipment, gear for playing sports, towels, workout clothes, etc. There are lots of drinking fountains, sinks, pools, and water sources that all supply constant Crystal Water, as well as vending machines with free food resupplied consistently. There are also community computers with iNet access.

Around the massive complex there are lots of strange figures using the amenities. These are called "Runners". They seem totally harmless and don't actually make any sort of vocalization besides a soft grunt. They resemble strange black stick figures that swim around, run about, and even play sports, If you go to a basketball court and tell them who's team they're on, they'll literally organize themselves into teams and compete to the best of their ability. They make good teammates in competition, as they never get angry and follow any commands you give.
Entities - This zone has huge amounts of Runners, and moderate amounts of Screamers, Hellcats, and Vortex Eels. The hostile entities seem to appear in the areas of the complex where fewer Runners are present or where the overhead lights are somewhat dimmed. If you keep to the more populated areas, it is unlikely you will run into many hostile entities.
Entrances
- From Zone 3, one can follow the shallowest waters to the old brick stairwell and walk up the slimy stone staircase several flights to cross the stone archway of transition into Zone 4.
- By swimming deep into the water and imagining one's self at a community swimming pool in Zone 5 will cause one to clip into a pool in Zone 4.
Exits
- If one goes down a water slide while yelling "I am ready. Test my spirit, test my strength" they will be transported to Zone 5.
- If you fall over the 3rd floor ledge you will clip down all the way to Zone 1, as well as whatever cargo you also threw over the ledge.
