Zone 3 " Flood Tunnels" are a network of partially and completely flooded tunnels. The interior is made of bricks and stone, with ocassional pipes and wires running on the ceilings and walls. Sometimes abandoned objects are floating on the water such as pieces of wood, little boats, dolls. and miscellanous objects. Anything metal here is thoroughly rusted and many sections of the tunnels have very dim incandescent lighting or small holes or vents bringing in small amounts of natural light. Flashlights are recommended.

With some tunnels being pitch black or heavily flickering lighting, one will need to be very careful while exploring. The depth of the water can also suddenly change from knee-deep to a dropoff of 30 feet. If you can find an abandoned boat, that is a preferrable method of transportation here. It is also safer to travel by boat because of some hostile entities that like to lurk in the water. Sometimes whispering can be heard echoing through the tunnels as well as an ocassional rumbling sound reminiscent of an earthquake. There are small flooded rooms and smaller hallways branching off of the large tunnels. Sometimes in these areas one can find signs of previous life and failed settlements. Blankets, clothes, weapons, food containers, and soggy notebooks... It is also not uncommon to find human remains and messages scrawled by past residents of this place. Some notable messages seen have been "Stay out of the water!", "They're watching us.", "Wet socks wet socks wet socks forever," "I am the king of the tunnels! Fear me," and "Only algae to eat, my tounge feels numb."
Some environmental hazards to be aware of are the random dropoffs into deep water, mudholes, and whirlpools. Mudholes act similarly to quicksand, appearing as a very dark patch with muddy-appearing water. If one steps in it, struggling will pull you deeper in. If you get stuck the best thing to do is very slowly pull yourself out or better yet have other people slowly pull you out. The other big danger is whirlpools, which are fairly obvious but if one gets stuck in one it can suck you down deep into muddy waters where entities can easily capture you or you can get stuck in the muck, waste, and plants at the bottom. As far as food and water is concerned, you're unlikely to find any unless it was left by past travelers or settlers. It is thought so,e of the algae might be edible if properly decontaminated but that seems to be risky. The floodwater is also dangerous to drink as it has sewage, disease, and some potential toxins in it.
Entities - Trap Spiders, Hellcats, Sludges, Muckers, Pincerpods, and Vortex Eels. (Many entities here like to hide underwater, so it's best to be very careful while walking in it.)
Entrances
- By walking through double oak doors in Zone 2 and through the golden-lit hall.
Exits
- Follow the direction of the water where it appears to get slightly shallower and eventually you should come across an old stairwell with brick stairs and walls. Climb up all these stairs (it will be a few hundred or so) and you should reach a stone archway at the top. Walk through here to enter Zone 4.
